I recently began incorporating the use of Scrabble in my teaching, and my students LOVE IT!
As you gently "scramble" your brain to think of words, compose
your word on the board and think about its gender, number, meaning,
and finally put it into a sentence, a number of interesting events take place,
spurring the creation of new neural pathways, which will eventually turn into memories.
Of course, you will say, that is how you learn. Sure, but the more involved you are, and the
more fun you have, the more effective is this process, right?
So try the Italian Scrabble and see what you can learn while having genuine fun!
Remember, though, that this option is for advanced students (those with
at least basic grammar and conversation skills) only!
