6/3/06 Beltane has arrived and gone. This year, my sisters and I did not get together
to celebrate and welcome the beginning of the Celtic "Season of Light",
the months from May 1 to October 31.
My dissertation defense was the main thing in my mind and I was very busy
to prepare for it, thereby neglecting to do my part to organize our backyard Beltane get-together.
I truly missed being with Costanza and Lorella and eating together, doing Goddess rituals,
and celebrating and lighting the big life-giving fire.
However, we may get together in June and do a replica of it, which will be much appreciated anyways.
Hopefully our schedule will allow us to reunite and strengthen our sisterly bond.
In any case, the season of fertility and abundance is here, we are fully into Spring
and Summer is to begin in a few weeks. Let's all make the most of it.
Kicking my lingering depression, get out there, do things, and ENJOY,
is what I plan to do. I am also trying to get to Italy and see my loved ones.
Let's see how that one goes. It would be good for my heart to see my son
and hang out with my Italian family and friends, before I begin my internship year.
Open up to life, embrace everything, welcome all!
Sometimes emotional healing is rough, and to know it and appreciate
the housecleaning taking place is helpful and supports you in the process.
This season, I plan to read consciousness-raising scriptures, write,
do uplifting, joyous activities and listen to my heart.
To be honest with myself and others.
To meditate and do yoga asanas regularly.
My friends, All the Best to You, have a great summer, and stay in touch.
